04-06 Flowmaster 2049170 Catalytic Converter Kit

I just picked these up as well. I'm doing an engine swap and was just trying to buy the 3rd cat and was shocked when I saw these pop up on ebay. I thought they had to be knock offs for $211 you can't get just the 3rd cat for that price. I spent a little time looking around to make sure they were legit and wound up buying them from Flowmaster / Holley website with the promo code PD58GT @OctaviousMonk mentioned to get them for $211.55 with free shipping.

One of the few things I feel like I needed to change, now working on the remaining portion of the exhaust. Muffler is on its way out. With the money I saved (Holley with code) I will be upgrading my membership here. Tons of resources and knowledge. Thanks All

If I wanted to connect these two with one of those wide band type clamps instead of the supplied U-bolt, what is the proper term for them to search for one?

Are there any that are better than the others?

I prefer the band style for slip joints as well. The u bolt style deforms the metal so they don’t want to come out later even if you need them to.

I throw the ubolt stuff into the trash.

We ordered the Flowmaster set from Holley using the promo code . Should be here soon . $211.55 plus tax with free shipping .

I changed the entire system out about ten years ago with Mopar exhaust system . It was around $1000 or so . At this price , I'll store it until I need it .

Thanks to whoever found this sale :)

My spare spare set arrived a short time ago. Both sets I received were mandrel bent. And both sets arrived with the rear cat's manifold bell poking through the box, but undamaged. They sure don't seem to care about shipping protection!

I've found cheaper Genuine Mopar Exhaust Manifold Nut 6506546AA on The auction site if you look, there are a couple vendors selling them for $6 a piece. I just bought four shipped for $30. In my opinion just replace them before you fit up the new exhaust. Nothing worse than snugging everything up and having the U nut break and just spinning around.

Sold out on Amazon & Holly's sites.
I surmised, in either this thread or the other one about this deal, that it appeared to me that their intent was to dispose of inventory that they intend to discontinue. That is why I bought two sets. Time will tell if that was true or not...

I almost bought a third set yesterday but decided to let someone else take it. All is good.

Hello folks. I am looking for a CARB compliant direct fit solution. This appears to be the cheapest out there. Anyone have a review on this, or any other ideas? Thanks.

Well MagnaFlow is $1300... and not sure what option on Rockauto is reliable fit and function... Do we have any other KNOWN replacements... Of all those on ebay, are none a reliable option?
