I'm stumped.

I put a low mileage 05' 4.0 in my 04' 4.0. I swapped everything over (sensors, tb, intake manifold, odpa, etc).

Anyway, I have a slight misfire that isn't setting off a check engine light. It fires up as it should, idles as it should, but there is a periodic studder in the engine. It's worse when cold, but it can be felt when at operating temp as well.
Any ideas? was hoping cam sensor, but I dialed it in with my scan tool and I have the same issue.

@mrblaine I'm hoping you can chime in as you've assisted me with similar issues many years ago.

Noid lights on the injectors or laser temperature on the exhaust tube to identify the misfire?

Check wiring?

Can I swap the injectors from the 05? I used the setup from my 04'because I knew they worked properly. I tried with a laser, the misfire is so inconsistent I couldn't get enough fluctuation in temp to determine which cylinder was giving me a problem.
