Good morning. I have 138K on odometer. When I shift into 1st, no issues. 2nd sometimes there is a slight grind. Lately 3rd seems like its not fully in place when I shift. 4th good. 5th good. Added some fluid to reservoir. Helped for about a day. Reservoir held the fluid, not change. Clutch has same pressure all the way down while depressing it. Some say its the slave cylinder, some say its the synchro. I'm hoping something inexpensive. Any help is appreciated in troubleshooting this.
Thanks

Thank you for getting back with me. I appreciate it. I'll give that a try. Just drain the transmission fluid and replace it with this?

Not saying this is your problem, that said, always try the cheapest/simplest possibilities first. If you have or PO has used GL-5 gear oil in your transmission... change the oil to a GL-4. GL-5's have additives that are not kind to yellow metals, that being your synchro's. I have not done any extensive research into this, so I have no link to provide. I will say this, mine is a 99 AX15, that is hard to shift into 2nd and reverse, much more noticeable when cold out (winter). PO used GL-5. I have changed the gear oil, didn't notice a difference at first, but over the last 8K mi. it is much improved. My next oil change I will be using this;

recommended to me by a manual trans and transfer case rebuild shop.
