Good afternoon. I thought I'd start sharing my build with the jeep community. I'm new to the jeep scene, but I hope you enjoy build logs as much as I do. I finished the paint and maintenance on a 1998 TJ. It was neglected but rust free. A large portion of parts had been sold off of it when I purchased it. Including the front drive shaft if you can believe it. it had a blown head gasket and was leaking coolant I won't bore you with maintenance logs but here is what has been completed so far.

Front and rear brakes and bearings including rotors and hubs. All new calipers, brake lines and slave cylinders. New tires, ball joints, front and rear bushings, gas tank, fuel pump (high flow AEM), gas tank skid plate and front drive shaft. New HVAC fan heater and AC coil, condenser and filter. A high HP clutch and new master/slave clutch cylinder wer also installed. Current mods are Jeep air AC upgrade, aluminum radiator, full sound deadening mat, car play stereo, full body armor and fender flares. offroad bumpers and cable 4wd shifter.

Before we get to the trail stuff it's time to focus on the power. This build is going to be a 4.6l turbo stroker.

Parts on the shelf we're installing shortly
Ebay turbo kit
Split second fuel enricher
Ebay 4.6l short block
Edelbrock aluminum head
ARP head bolts
aluminum roller rockers
all new supporting hardware.

Here are some pictures of the repairs including the freeze plug failure that caused this jeep's neglect.

That got it through a year of fun while I shook out the other problems and got some panels painted (Sarge Green backyard paint job). My paint work is not great but the TJ has full armor on it now. This was done so all the body parts I found matched. FYI I know that's a YJ top. I couldn't pass up $100 for a temp hard top.

I like the color. Where did you get the paint code? Looks like a jl color

Any details on the shortblock?

You've got a sharp eye. It is a JL color. Sarge Green is code PGG. The brand for the basecoat is Wanda. I don't remember which brand the clear was.

It is the ATP short block. I normally build my own engines but they included so much for the price I couldn't pass it up.
Kith Black pistons.
Scat Crank.
Hasting piston rings.

The 8.8:1 compression ratio is ideal for turbo charging. I'll be able to run the highest octane pump gas without knock.

Yea - great paint color. Nice to see another DIY paint job. Looks good to me.

That's kind of you to say. It's a 20 footer for sure. I was able to get full doors along with the half doors it came with. it took a lot of paint for such a small vehicle.
