I have a 1998 wrangler Sahara that stalls occasionally in neutral or when my clutch is in. Typically, this happens when cutting it hard in reverse, after I take it out of reverse, but it can also happen when I am stopped. The RPM’s are very variant at idle, they fluctuate between 7-800 up to 1200. It dips, almost stalls, vibrates a bit, then shoots back up. This happens every 3-5 seconds or so that I am not on the gas. I have never had any issue while driving, except for once when I clutch braked and It stalled. It always starts right back up, and I have never had any issue with it starting/running while driving it. I am thinking my throttle just dips too low and needs to be tuned? I popped the hood and can see the throttle opening and closing to keep it running.
Would love any advice! Thanks!
