Finally got my 4.10’s installed. Pulled a Dana 35 out of a 4 cylinder tj and had quite a bit of trouble finding a Dana 30 so I bought a ring and pinion from BobtheJet and installed it in my current Dana. Replaced the front u joints in the process as well.
Everything went pretty smooth and I am happy to have some performance back. I need to get my new speedometer gear in and that stage should be over.
Sorry for the lack of updates. I haven't been doing much to the Jeep lately other than just driving it. I did install some knockoff Truck-Lites that I got off of eBay. What a difference!! I also elected to remove the OEM fogs and install LED pencil lights. They really aren't needed though as the new headlights produce so much light compared to stock.
How are you liking the removed carpet? I purchased a 98 TJ with no carpet and bedliner. I've been considering installing some type of carpet kit to reduce road noise

I have had no problems at all from removing the carpet. I am sure it is a little more noisy but it hasn't bothered us at all. The Jeep is my daily driver and my family and I use it regularly and I haven't heard any complaints about the heat or noise. I have considered adding bed rug just to make it look more finished but I really doubt I ever do. The bed liner with the quadratec floor mats has served us very well.
