Helping my Dad in selling his hardtop, which came off of his 1999 TJ Sport. It's been in storage in his shop now for a couple of years as he's been running the new soft top which we got him for his birthday. I think he'd feel guilty if he used anything else now!
A little bit more about the top:
- all of the glass appears to be OEM, and is in excellent condition
- the rear window struts were sagging, so we put new ones on this past weekend
- some light paint scuffs in a couple of spots — see pictures
- defrost and wiper work great. Put a new Rain-X wiper blade on this past weekend
- I plan on pressure washing the inside this week when the weather gets warmer, as it's a bit dirty.. but nothing some TLC can't fix
- we are trying to find the handful of mounting bolts, but no success so far.
I was thinking about using Penetrol on the outside (I've had fabulous results with it, if you look at one of my previous threads), but figured that might be unwise as the new buyer might want to change colors altogether, although the "Spice" top is my favorite!
