We bought. 1999 TJ. The previous owner put 17 in Rubicon tires on the vehicle. I don’t like the height and want to restore it back to the original 15 inch tires. Is this possible without spending a fortune?

I bought four ravine wheels from facebook marketplace when I played on their junk. I bought a fifth from eBay and I’m thinking I paid $65 for it shipped. One of these days I’ll find the oem rubicon wheels to get her back closer to original. I keep looking on Craigslist but there’s not much there in my area.
Are JK wheels 5.5x5 instead of 4.5x5? Pretty sure you need wheel adapters to run those newer style wheels, so you might have to remove the spacers/adapters as well as those larger wheels, and then you could just bolt on the stock 15" wheels.

Can find a set of 15x8 or 7 with 5 on 4.5 lugs on Facebook all the time, be patient. A set for near 100 bucks in not unusual. Most buy the JK 17's and use spacers because they are cheap. Can buy a set of nearly new wheels and tires for $500 most times. I have bought more than I care to tell; new looking alum wheels with tires with some tread left for 100 !!

Shouldn't be an issue. The 17s are mounted with adapters. Remove those and put your wheel (and tire) of choice on.
