2.5 power steering pump to 4.0 pump: Has anybody done this?

The remote reservoir has been hard to locate and harder to locate cost effectively at various points in time. We did it to get away from the reservoir.

Truth...when I get good used resevoirs in stock I have people fighting over them at $100 because alot of them have been jb welded unsuccessfully or have the nipples broken off the bottom

Here is a way to do it. Compression on a standard steering pressure line. Female pipe thread port for the sensor. Check the sensor thread to be sure.

I would imagine that you could just swap in a HP assembly from a 4.0, only difference would be the pump which is 6" or so further back then the 4.0. Otherwise the steering setup is the same.

Just remembered the 2.5 has the PS pressure switch in the line and the 4.0 does not.

I am Doing the same project. Should I buy a HP line off Amazon for the 4.0 L?
