So while I had the tcase out I also serviced the front driveshaft. Last time it did it was last December and I have put about 4000 miles on it. And to no surprise the joints were out of grease. There is a reason I tell folks 3500 miles is the recommended service interval for greaseable joints. And these were old school OEM greaseable Spicers.

While I could have just greased everything and be on my way I decided to put in the Spicer 5-1310-1X greaseable version of the SPL series. These offer better sealing compared to the regular 10 series Spicer joints as well as a slight increase in toughness.

Why not go with sealed, non-greaseable ujoints? It

Forgot to make sure I had a Speedohealer on hand before I did the tcase but no biggie. Easy enough to install after the fact. The kit in all its glory.

A little split loom and some Tesa tape to add some protection to the harness.

From there is route the bay and plug it in. Quick trip with a GPS and using the Speedohealer app and it was painless to get right on the first try.
