I’m not mechanically inclined, so if you do decide to respond I do appreciate it, but try to “layman’s terms” it to me lol. Anyway, the lighter looks brand new and never touched. I want to plug my FM Tranemitter into the outlet, but it won’t work at all. I was told to just go to Autozone and get a 20A fuse and replace it. Would this be ideal? TIA!

Before buying a fuse, you can look at the fuse block behind the glove compartment and see if it is missing or blown. The side of the compartment should have a diagram that identifies each fuse and its resistance.

I managed to fix it. Simple fix, thankfully. It was just a bad fuse.

Since you stated it was a simple fix; hopefully the problem remains fixed.
With a blown fuse there is generally a reason WHY the fuse was found blown.
What ever was previously plugged into the cigarette lighter receptacle was internally shorted or was drawing too much amperage to operate.

Or worse case scenario; plugging in a (good) load, completed a bad circuit in the Jeep.
