Hey guys, up for sale is my 04 Rubi, I absolutely hate to get rid of her, but I'll be moving soon and can only take one car with me! (This is my secondary vehicle)
I want everyone to know that I am trying to be as transparent as possible here, the ad will tell and show you just about every little defect so you don't need to do the digging! If you still have questions please do not hesitate to send me a message.
First off! The Jeep is in Connecticut and has a clean and clear title, ready for sale. Before I bought this I had a chance to speak to the original owner (I am #2) and was told about the single accident that was reported on it... long story short a 2x4 broke the rear glass and they used it as an opportunity to get insurance to pay for a new hard top (that is still like new and in very good shape).
This jeep stated in Texas and spent the majority of it's life in CT, the first owner pretty much never took it out of 2wd or used the lockers since it drove off the dealers lot, I too haven't really used the off-road functions of this vehicle too much and just enjoyed it as a summer ride around. So the t-case is tight and the lockers work well!
Being a CT jeep there is some rust (hence why it is $9500 for a Rubicon). This being said, the frame is 100% solid and has been coated with POR15 and internal frame coating. The rust is not bad, only surface rust on the undercarriage and is not spreading (could leave as is and it'll be fine). As far as the rust goes on the body... there are seam splits on the tub in several spots that are showing a little rust, the hinges on the windshield are puckering up, there as a small spot that the rust is eating through the paint next to the rear door, the front drivers side fender had a spot that I tried to repair (I just made it look bad, I suggest replacing that one) and the passenger side fender has a small spot, about the size of a dime or penny, starting to show. Overall, yes it has some rust but it is not about to fall apart on you, it is still very repairable, and if you don't care about looks, then just ignore it! It's not going to hurt anything mechanically.
Now that that's out of the way here are the important details:
It has the 4.0L Straight 6 paired with the 5-spd stick (bulletproof combo)
All the Rubicon Factory specials like the SYE, 2inch lift, locking differentials front and rear, reduced gearing, selectable transfer case with 4 low, rubicon wheels
The tires are Toyo all terrain tires that have plenty of tread left and have impressed me very much as an all around tire
There are 145,200 miles on the Jeep and it is running strong!
No check engine lights, no mechanical issues
COMES WITH BOTH HARD AND SOFT TOP
And last but not least the interior is in great condition!
Let the pictures speak for themselves, share this with all your friends, and get it on to someone who can use it for what it was made for! I HATE seeing it sit here, I am ready to sell it immediately and am already looking forward to years in the future when I'll have another Jeep in my life.
Thanks for reading the entire ad!
