SOLD!! Let it go for $15,750 to a 22 yo kid who could barely contain himself :)

2004 Jeep Wrangler TJ Unlimited, 122,000 miles.

The ONLY reason I am selling this is because I have the opportunity to move on to a bigger rig for the off roading that I want to do.
This Jeep is extremely capable off road and also good as a daily driver. I have run Dickey Bell, Dutch John and the backside of Daniel at Uwharie National Forest with ease in this Jeep.
It is nimble on the trails and drives straight as an arrow on the street. It will cruise at 75MPH at around 2700RPMs all day long on the highway. Take the top and doors off and it is the most fun you can have with your clothes on.
In some ways it’s hard to part with it but it is time to move on.

The engine has just been replaced and I am just rolling the first 1,000 miles on it. A break-in period was done on the engine: at 250 miles the filter was changed and then at 550 miles the oil and filter were changed. During that 550 miles the engine was run through various RPM ranges and never left to sit at one RPM for lengths of time (i.e. no cruise control down the highway). The engine idles smooth and performs strong. It is an ATK remanufactured engine complete with a 3 year unlimited mileage warranty. Yes, I said three years.
The engine, parts and install alone cost $4000.

All of the specs are down below. It has a factory hardtop even though it started its life as a soft top. I also have a Besttop bikini top and Besttop Jeep cover for when the top and doors are off.
I also have a set of brand new Black Magic brake pads for the front still in the box as well as many extra Fel-Pro gaskets and the factory stereo.
Lastly, I have a 3-ring binder that contains all paperwork of everything done to the Jeep.

The pictures you see are from various stages of its life so, for instance, there may be no winch in the pic but there is one on it now.

Parts replaced during engine install:
OPDA unit and sensor
Throttle position sensor
Air idle control sensor
Oil pressure sensor
Upper/lower radiator hoses
Water pump

*** During the first 5,000 miles you CAN NOT use synthetic oil as the engine is still considered to be in a break in phase. After that you can use what you want. Personally, I would stick with traditional oil. The 4.0L straight six engine is bullet proof and when designed standard oil was used. I’m of the mindset to keep with regular oil on these engines since synthetic really doesn’t have an advantage in these, plus it’s more expensive. It is not uncommon to see a well maintained 4.0L engine go above 300k miles.
With all the work and build done to this Jeep it’s well into the mid $20,000 range which I know I will never get for it. Asking $17,500 OBO
