For Sale: 2005 Jeep Wrangler TJ. X edition. 6 - speed manual transmission with the legendary Inline 6 cylinder engine. RUST FREE from California but now resides in Pennsylvania.
I purchased the vehicle in September 2020. The Jeep is a one owner from California. This Jeep spent nearly all of its life in the desert of Southern California. I am technically the 2nd owner, but have only had the Jeep for about 4 months.
Purchase cost was: $14,600.
The CarFax report indicates over 40 different service records, mostly oil changes, tire rotations and brakes.
My goal was to find a very clean, RUST FREE TJ. A former Mannheim Auto Auction employee helped me find this TJ and transfer it to Pennsylvania.
The original owner took great care of this Jeep! Less than the average mileage of 12,000 miles annual.
This is an Un-Molested example of a TJ. No Lifts, No Modifications , All OEM. Original seats.
Since I purchased the vehicle in September I have had the following work completed on the Jeep:
- New Clutch
- Resurfaced Flywheel
- New Heater Core
- New Blower Motor
- New Blower Fan Assembly
- New Falken Wildpeak H/T Tires HT02 XL 235/75R15 with a 70,000 mile warranty
- New Valve Cover Gasket
- Coolant system flush, Coolant replaced
*** Tires : $719.45
*** Clutch, Heater Core, Blower motor, Fan assembly, Labor, etc: $2,491.74
*** All purchase receipts, service records and CarFax is included.
I also purchased a used Hard Top since the Jeep only had a Soft Top. Preowned Hardtop was $900.
In addition to these major purchases I have bought several items from Quadratec to replace things like a broken fog light, broken turn signal arm, and replaced the worn out visor holders.
Also, I purchased a set of Fluid Film cans and spent a weekend spraying the frame and undercarriage to make certain this Jeep remains RUST FREE in its new East Coast life.
Included in the sale is the Gray Hard Top, a Black Soft Top and a Car Cover.
My intent in purchasing the Jeep was to gift it to my daughter for her 16th Birthday, however she has no desire to learn how to drive a manual transmission and has expressed she now wants a convertible VW Beetle instead...
I have nearly $19,000 invested in this Jeep. The new owner will get probably the nicest, RUST FREE TJ on the East Coast. The California air & sun have treated this Jeep very well.
I have the original California license plate on the front and the California Prop 65 on the Driver’s side window a reminder of its West Coast origins!
