Newly detailed 10/13/19

This is a 2005 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon, also known as an LJ, LJR, TJU etc...

I flew to Oregon in 2018 to get this Jeep. This jeep has zero rust on the body and frame is clean as a 2005 can be. It has been stored for all the winters it spent in the rust belt. Never driven when salt existed on the roads. These models are not your typical Jeep and were made only between mid-2004 to 2006. This rubicon model was the most expensive; highest package you could buy in its time.

Miles will slowly go up as this is my DD.

This has been the best vehicle I have ever owned. I have never had an issue with it since I've owned it for almost two years now. It has never had any check lights on and has not skipped a beat. This was going to be my forever car so I took care of it religiously. Put around 14k miles on since owned. The title is clean and in hand (paid off). Has all the options available plus some.

The Jeep was relatively stock when I bought it. I have since added quality parts that are listed below:

I'm a forum newb but not to jeeps. A quick look see on facebook marketplace I found four TJ rubicons under 11. Obviously can't vouch for parts on those but some research and adjustment is probably going to be in order.

Have you thought about paying a professional detail shop to try and remove all the old black paint?
Got an appointment scheduled for next Sunday to get it all off for good. Hopefully that helps the sale. Been posted for two weeks now with no interest. Didn’t think I was insanely high

This is an LJ Rubicon not TJ, which is a bit rarer. Good ones are 15kplus up to 22k plus for low mileage ones.

I will be honest...even after that detail job, I still think this is still high. The body is in rough shape (I thought they might get the black off in the detail job) compared to other ones I have seen. Plus, even though it may have been stored in winters, it is still a northern Jeep. If the body was in better condition and it was from down south....I might pay 17k. Just my honest opinion.

17k seems like a fair asking price but my guess is you'll get somewhere around 15k for it. Lower the add to 16,950 in the meantime. It looks better than 17K.

Wrap it, it would be a much easier sell with either a new paint job or a wrap.
Chris when did you start working at a used car lot. :ROFLMAO: Can you imagine peeling off the wrap to find that paint? Talk about a terrible Christmas Morning.

If you don't mind doing some labor and prep work it looks like a good candidate for a maaco paint job.

True, but I've seen some amazing wraps that look even better than factory paint!

I don't doubt that. But, personally I wouldn't feel right about selling it without disclosing the issue that is underneath. Which would then pose the question of... Would it still need to be sold at a discounted rate?

No, I just meant wrap it so it looks good, but don't take down the photos of what it looks like underneath.

I'm not suggesting he hide the original photos, just make it look better so it's more appealing to a prospective buyer, that's all.
