Calling all my Jeep appraisal expects (Not to concerned what you paid, let’s not get off topic).

Now, a family friend of mine is selling his mother in laws 2005 Jeep unlimited. Dana 44 rear. 3:73 gears. Atuo. Tan interior (7.5/10), black exterior (7/10) mostly due to rock chips and paint blisters. 140,xxx miles. Original owner. Solid as they come, no rust (10/10).

My TJ is a 6spd, I have no experience driving an auto TJ/LJ. So my only concern is the shifts seem a little soft. My gm truck has a firmer more positive shift. I’ve not felt the trans slip or hesitate just a curious concern.

After all that being stated, what would the Jeep be worth? I know jeeps often sway away from kbb values. Just not looking to get burned.

Thanks!

It seems a lot depends on your area of the country. Out here in the west I would expect $10k-11k range. I would do a good detail job, paint the fender flares and advertise it at $12k.

The price will be different state to state. I would check your local craigslist (or a large city near you) and use that as as starting point. Take lots of photos of the frame so potential buyers can see it. Advertising it on places like cars.com will extend the reach of your ad.

Without seeing the frame I can not tell you what I would guess its worth.

@Starrs is the go to LJ value guru of the forum.

Good luck on the sale.
