2005 Rocky Mountain Edition with 53,000 miles

Great build same year and model as my sons, his has full doors and swapped out flares to black.

Awesome! I thought about swapping my red fenders to brand new black ones because the AZ sun is fading mine. Im going to eventually do steel or aluminum tube fenders so I'll just wait. I like my half doors, but I wish I had full doors too.

So now I'm playing tag with UPS and I'm probably not going to win. Finally got a person on the phone. After a long hold they told me they could re route the package to the UPS store with same day pick up that it would cost the standard $7.99. OK NO PROBLEM. They stated that within the hour somebody would contact me for pick up information. Well the UPS store closes in 40 minutes and I'm about 20min away from it. Im betting nobody calls. I just called the UPS store and they said they have no information of a package being re routed there as of yet.

So UPS took my money. $7.99 to have the package re directed to the UPS store so I could pick it up yesterday quote "same day pickup". UPS told me somebody would call me back within the hour to verify pick up information. That didn't happen. Nobody called me. Tracking still says it is on its way to my house June 6th.

There's a JB SSSYE floating around out there somewhere in UPS purgatory I still have to figure out how to get. I'm flying out in the morning to Texas to work for possibly a month or so. Hopefully I can order the wheels and tires and Antirock while I'm gone so I can get started on the build when I get back.

3rd time was the charm. Finally got the UPS guy's attention on my ring doorbell when he showed up wearing his earpods before he left with the package again. I paid UPS the 7.99 to have it dropped off at the UPS store but apparently, he didn't get the memo and still made 2 attempts to deliver to the house. I finally gave him the memo so he can drop it off and my wife go pick it up whenever she can.

With the help from Woodrow's recent thread on his wheel choices and some other pics I've seen recently I have decided to run the Ultra 5051's. I was originally going to order the Pro Comp 69's because I always liked that classic Jeep look since day 1 but cleaning procedures between the 2 wheels swayed my decision. Still a classic Jeep look just with a bit more attitude.

LOL Well that was fun. I feel like I need a cigarette now.

Day 5 - 4th attempt to deliver to the house. I caught the UPS guy on my ring doorbell again. Package in hand. I asked him what happened because he was supposed to drop it off at the UPS store the previous day. He gave me some messed up story about the store not having info for the re direct, and his boss was telling him to move his truck so he couldn't stick around long so he just left and made a 4th attempt to deliver to house yesterday.

I admit I'm an idiot and shoulda thought about this in the first place. I basically said look, can I open the garage (myQ app) and you throw the package in there and I close it? His eyes and ears perked up and said YEA THAT'LL WORK SO IT WON'T WALK AWAY I WOULD HATE FOR SOMETHING TO HAPPEN TO IT. So I opened the garage through the app and he tossed it in, and then I closed the garage and he came back to the doorbell and said everything was good and left me his phone number in case anything happened or I needed anything else. Cool UPS guy, was just stuck in the book unfortunately.

So now the JB SSSYE is finally in and I won't be back till next month.

Still left to order. Ultra 50/51's. 33x10.50 or 12.50's. Currie antirock. ???? (for this phase)

ORO SwayLOC ordered from Quadratec today. $545.94 after tax and free shipping.

I put my name on the list for the Savvy rockers/sliders whenever/if ever they come back into stock. Then wheels and tires are about all thats left to order for this phase of the build.

That was the longest and shortest month ever. Just got back from working in Texas and one of the tires that had a slow leak was flat flat and the Jeep sat on it for a few weeks so I went ahead and replaced all the 30's with BFG K02's. Kinda sucks since I'll be getting 33"s once the lift and everything goes on.

Also ordered the Ultra Type 50/51s' 15x8 with 3.75" back spacing. Those will be in next week.

The new tires got rid of the death wobble at 56-64mph. Had a free week this week then flying out again to the in-laws in the midwest for a while to escape this heat. 108 today, then 107, 105, 106, 104, 106 the next 6 days so I won't be getting anything done this week.

I put some miles on the TJ Sunday. Drove 1,000mi round trip from Tucson AZ to Hesperia CA and back. Total time was about 18 hours because I met up with a buddy in Riverside for lunch. I picked up a Garvin EXT series rear bumper and tire carrier rack with optional top cargo basket, and optional Jerry can holder, and a Jerry can. For less than a quarter of the price all this would cost brand new. It bolted on super easy and super fast. Only about an hour for the install. I love it. It's a BEAST. Super solid steel. A bit heavy but I don't really care.

Off comes the drawtite hitch and factory bumper. So glad my jeep is decently clean. Everything came off without any problems.

Eventually I want to drill the inner holes on the bumper support for the bracket just to be on the safer side of things. I don't plan on pulling anything with the hitch any time soon unless I impulse buy another deal on a trailer I can't pass up lol.

Anybody want to come over and help me install the Savvy body lift and MORE motor mount lift. It's not hot anymore lol.

Ok since nobody wanted to come over, I decided to give it a go. Took me 2 hours to do the body lift. When I was almost done, I forgot I had to do the motor mount lift as well. That took me another 2 hours.

The driver's side mount was a pain in the ass. Tried doing it without taking the mount off the engine but that only almost worked. So had to take the mount off the engine which wasn't near as bad as I thought it was going to be. Was also a hell of a lot easier putting on since its lined up for the other 2 once you get the first bolt in.

2nd thing I almost F'd up was I forgot to loosen the gas filler hose before cranking up the body. Luckily nothing broke.

Out with the old. In with the new. Savvy 4wd shifter cable kit installed in 2 hours.

4wd shop wanted $170 to install it. So far, I've saved $1,100 in labor by installing the Savvy body lift, M.O.R.E. bombproof motor mount lift, and the Savvy 4wd shifter cable kit myself.

Changed the oil at 86,000 miles a couple days ago. I thought I had a slight RMS leak, however, 2 oil changes with conventional high mileage oil and it looks like the leak has stopped all together.

Don't worry. I supported the Jeep for the oil change. This was just a quick pic between jacking it up and getting to work.

I also replaced a broken PCV valve. $3.78 from Amazon. I didn't get any pictures of the process because the original one broke into 50 pieces trying to get it out and it was super stressful not letting any get into the valve cover which it didn't thankfully.
