I've been trying to help my buddy fix an issue that's happening with his 2005 TJ 4.0 straight 6 with automatic transmission and around 130k miles.
The issue he has been having is it idles rough when cold and will shut off if you don't feather the gas. Once it's warmed up it idles fine. However, while driving, there are moments when it seems to momentarily lose power upon accelerating. This only happens for a second and almost seems as if it was starved for fuel for a second. Below is the items that we've replaced so far. At this point kind of at a loss for what it could be. If you got any ideas please let me know.
-Fuel injectors
-Ignition coil
-Spark plugs
-Crank/cam position sensor
-Idle air bypass
-Throttle position sensor
-Fuel pump
