One of the greats! 2006 LJ Rubicon in Jeep Green Metallic with Dark Slate Gray interior. This example includes the 4-speed 42RLE automatic transmission and drives effortlessly down the interstate or around town. This Jeep was purchased for my mother who was diagnosed about a year ago with early onset Alzheimer's. She owns a large farm and wanted something to drive around while she still could and wanted a "classic Jeep." First, we bought her a TJ with a manual hoping that would help stimulate her brain and coordination, but quickly realized the automatic was the best fit. Knowing that the LJ Rubicon is unique, my brother and I found this one and thought it would be something she could use and enjoy. Unfortunately, she is now unable to drive and we need to sell to help pay for her care.

Clean CarFax and shows 4 previous owners prior to us. However, we never registered it since it was not going to be driven on the roads very much. Odometer reads 122,661 as of this post. The spare tire and mount with third brake light are in the back cargo area and come with the Jeep.

The Jeep comes with a nice Rugged Ridge soft top, but I do have an original Mopar LJ Hardtop in good condition selling separately for $2,500.

I live in Morgan County- there is a guy in Athens that sells LJs, hes on 72 toward Huntsville...he will buy it but won’t put that into it.

A northern buyer would not be afraid of it, here in the south the rust is a real concern.

All the best,
Andy

I hope for the best you and your family! Yikes that is a lot of rust on the frame at the price!

I’ve seen his Jeeps before over by Sutton Furniture. Thanks for the heads up.

He and his wife run it, hes an LJ fan bigtime. You need to get your mind around accepting a lot less...only a clean, non rusted one is going to bring that kind of money - here in the south that LJ is hardly even sellable. I know it isn’t what you want to hear, and I know her care could be costly. That LJ is like selling a church building- if you get any offer that is workable, take it. I own one and have had 3 Rubicons and I’m pretty familiar with the market.

It would be able to get a little camera in the frame itself you would have a better idea what you are dealing with, And if thats good the outside of the frame and torque boxes should (SHOULD) be good to. Some Por 15, Chassis paint ect, and its clean fairly low mileage LJR, In a beauty colour. Love that jeep. It'll will be worth a forture in the years to come.

This is what I mean...northern buyers arent as afraid. I would probably run it on Craigslist as far north as I can. Many of them will tackle it.

Here in Illinois they are really cracking down on people selling cars that aren’t registered in their name, mostly because they are flipping them and selling it with someone else’s name on the title. Must be different in Alabama.

I’m about 25 minutes from him-
The Bill of Sale complicates it.

I’d ask Sharon Maxwell’s office- most likely it has to be registered in the name of the person on the bill of sale- unless the bill of sale buyer line is still blank-in that case it can be done as if the OP never owned it , basically a pass thru purchase , and the buyer signs both EXACTLY the same then insures it, buys a tag and they then send it to Montgomery and they transfer the title to the new buyer from the other seller. If the Bill of sale is to the current owner, get down there and get it registered and be prepared to wait to sell it if you can’t convince a buyer the title is applied for. If there is a workaround they might show you...if they are in a good mood at the tag office. They generally hate all human beings.

I was politely implying, buyer beware and don’t be naive. I would never buy a vehicle that didn’t have the sellers name on the title, I’m weird though.

Love seeing other Jeep Green LJR's out there, but this one is a little bit crispy. Still its only about the 5th LJR in Jeep Green I've seen up for sale since I bought mine 5 years ago.
