Looking for OEM owner and maintenance manual for 2006 rubicon unlimited. I have the digital so thanks in advance for those suggestions, I bought the jeep used and would like to have an actual jeep manual.

I have 4 Jeeps including an '04 Unlimited and that's the ONLY one that I don't have manuals for. If you have a link to where you can get digital owner and maintenance manuals it would be appreciated.

Manuals are always n my "flea market" list and I always ask for them when I go to a pick-n-pull. They never seem to be in the glove box. I've had limited success, they tend to throw them out! As for a sales brochure, I've been told that none of them include an Unlimited, regular TJ only. I was told that it's partly because the LJ came out in the middle of '04 and no new brochures were made. I understand they are not in the '05 or '06 brochures either.

An unlimited (aka LJ), is just a long TJ. They had a few minor differences, but I'm not sure it merits an entirely different service manual. Are you talking about the one that comes in the glovebox? Or an aftermarket manual like Haynes or Chilton? Maybe someone like @Jorge Bolivar or @Jeepersteve71 can confirm or deny the need. As far as maintenance, they would be identical to that of a 4.0 TJ that year.

Everything that came in the glovebox will cost you. If you are looking for real Jeep service manuals it cost even more.

Everything that came in the glovebox from the dealer - $ ~150.00
Often found cheaper but in a very used condition. (doggy eared or worn out binding)

A factory service manual set that the service department would have/still may use - $ ~350.00
Often found cheaper but definitely in a very used condition.

This 06 Jeep sales brochure has an unlimited featured in it. $25 and it's yours

I understand your desire to have the orginal books and manuals. There is something about having all the parts and pieces the Jeep originally came with that is hard to explain. I am the same way.
I agree and it's nice to get the ones that are original to the car if you can. They usually tell you where it was bought and include at least the early service information. For my Comanche, I learned that the original owner lived 3 doors down from a house we considered buying a few years ago. This was in a town that is 145 km away! For my Cherokee, it was bought at the same dealership I bought one new at in 1990.

If you are looking for a sales brochures for 2004 Unlimited it was absolutely advertised to dealers and consumers. It was big news! I found a lot on ebay.

Here is a 2004 1/2 dealer press kit for the 2004 Unlimited.

Hey look, they're advertising the towing capability of the LJ, which I believe is 3500 over the TJ's 2000. I never understood how 18 inches made such a big gap??? Is there something I'm missing?

Longer wheel base = more tow capacity.

Very Interesting. I can't recall the source but I understood the sales brochure didn't exist. I guess it was wrong. There is sometimes a difference from country to country. Maybe we didn't get them here. I used to collect and trade/sell MG literature. It was amazing how many differences there were. One 1960's sales brochure for example could have 20 or so versions and the differences were very minor. Some guys felt they had to have them all!

i saw those on Ebay - I guess I'm hoping that someone will stumble across one and be very nice and offer it at a fraction of what Ebay wants.
