I bought my TJ approx 5 years ago with 41,000 kms on it for $13,500 (cdn) which I figure was a great deal. With the purchase I had an alarm/command start installed (with the cold winters we have here in Winnipeg it is definitely needed).

The first year was a slow start to upgrades and I installed a cobra CB radio with Bluetooth and later I mounted a GoPro 3 Silver edition to catch all those butt clenching moments.

The second year was the upgrade year but only after going out on a trail run dubbed as Mudders Day. The group that I went on the trail run, ended up being stuck on the trail until 9:30 pm. From this day I went online to find the upgrades I wanted on my rig.

  • SYE kit
  • Novak transfer case cable
  • Rear brake conversion
  • Front brake upgrade to dual piston calipers

Wow, that thing has come a long, long ways! I particularly like those wheels. It looks almost like you're running 35" tires with the profile of the wheel / tire combo. Looking really, really good!

Most recent upgrade/mod for the Jeep is. Purchased a new solenoid box and wiring from rough country (item #RS1). Instead of mounting in the usual spot on top of the winch, I mounted (temp spot) to the cross member on the hood. New location under the hood will be under the brake booster with the plug for the wired controller coming through the side of the hood. This way the hood doesn't need to be opened everything I need to use it. Pictures to follow...

Wow, did you win the lottery?

You can skip the throttle body spacer. Those are a complete waste of money. They don't work on modern fuel injected engines (not a myth, a fact): Do throttle body spacers work on Jeep Wrangler TJs?

Nah, didn't win the lottery. Although I wish, I could pay all this off quicker then. But it's all on order currently. Thanks for the heads-up about the throttle body space Chris.

I'm also going to be changing out the fuel injectors, swapping out the spark plug rail for a viper v10.

Who knows what else I will be doing this summer. Only time will tell.

I'm assuming that's a joke... the Viper V10 thing? Haha
