Well I had to change the list of parts slightly. I change the fender flares to ones below.

Textured Black Steel 6.5 Inches Wide.

These should be more than wide enough to cover the 35's with a 3.75 inch backspacing.

In 2 week's these parts will be in: Roll Cage, Tire Carrier, Stabilizer, Fender Flares.


Then I have approx. 1 month to have all the parts installed and the bare metal ones painted or powder coated before the annual World of Wheels (https://autorama.com/attend/winnipeg/) here in Winnipeg in March. It'll be a crazy month of installing.

Kind of a heads-up to the next chapter in the never ending list of parts that will be added to my jeep. Not sure if this will be feasible for this year as I am already starting out 2018 with a hefty bill for parts. Mind you the parts that I have already listed, most will be paid through a local company here that is sponsoring my jeep build for World of Wheels. There has been no set amount for what they are paying, but once it is figured out I will plan my next chapter (parts list more in-depth).

And......... it begins. This is the first part of the many installs to come over the next while.

Finished installing the JVC double din stereo and dash kit tonight. For something I thought would take maybe an hour turned into almost 3 hours. But it went smoothly, no real pain in the ass hiccups.

Sorry I don't have pics of the removal and install process, but I will try and walk you through the scenario.

First I had to remove the factory dash piece, then remove the other JVC single din stereo. Kind of good I already had an aftermarket JVC stereo because I didn't have to buy the plug n play wire harness.

Then I had to remove the heater controls, there is a piece plastic that divide the single din stereo and the heater controls that needs to be removed. This can be done with an Olfa knife but would probably be easier with a dremel.

Once this piece of plastic is removed it's a fairly simple process after this.

Next, you will need to figure out where you are going to put the external USB cable and microphone. Once this has been decided you will need to feed those 2 cables through the dash to the location you want them (this can be a bit of a pain). Then it's just a matter of attaching the top tray to the dash piece with the 2 supplied screws, taking the heater vents from the factory dash piece and install them into the new dash piece. You will also need the 4 metal clips on the back of the factory dash piece for the new dash piece.

With the new dash piece you are provided with 2 plastic brackets that need to be attached to the sides of the stereo (these 2 brackets have screws that are provided in the kit). The stereo I purchased didn't have the normal metal sleeve that you sometimes get with a new stereo (thankfully the kit came with these 2 brackets).

Then it's just a matter of pushing the wires into the dash and using the factory screws to mount the stereo back into the dash. Then install the new aftermarket double din dash piece. Attach the 2 screws back at the top by the heater vents.

Also, ordered today 1 - 8" Rough Country LED Spot Light Bar (to replace the 2 - 4" round back-up lights).


Tires, wheels, internal beadlocks, center caps will be installed next Tuesday (with pictures to follow).

Received the Ten Factory Dana 30 Outer Axle Seals today.

Still waiting for the rest of the parts to arrive.

Plus ordered more items yesterday. Might order a few more parts.
