2006 Wrangler, 4.0, Auto.
Here’s the situation:
After adding a can of Seafoam Trans Tune (I know many will roll their eyes, lol)
I IMMEDIATELY started having a very hard shift from 1st to 2nd gear.
And It is also slow to shift into 4th gear and overdrive.
This improves after a few minutes of driving.
I know signs often point to PCM issue.
I should note that my gas gauge also occasionally doesn’t work. And I have intermittent CEL for EVAP/ 02 codes.
So yes. Probably PCM.
However, Ive only ever heard of the hard shift 1st- 2nd issue. I haven’t heard many mention the overdrive or 4th gear issue in regard to PCM.
What do you guys think? PCM or transmission?
