Just a FYI copied from another forum that might be of interest to this group!

Great news folks. For those of you that have had, or will have the spring assy break during an oil change things just got cheaper. Previously you had to buy the entire oil filter housing assembly from the dealer for around $180. Dorman has come through and made life better for us. Dorman part# 917-992 is now available. It consists of the little spring and the plastic part that holds it in place. I just got back from ordering 2 through Advance Auto for around $30 each. This is so new the part stores didn't even show it as available, I had to get them to call Dorman.

This applies to the JKs I assume?

Either way, good (and useful) info!
