I wouldn't call the current Filson "very superb". They are based in WA and have a big store in PDX. I've owned a could of their bags and few leather items. They used to be very good back in the day when they made everything in the US, but not the case anymore really. They still make a free good items but they are a shell of that they used to be. Most of the current items are junk and overpriced.

There are far better leather goods manufacturers in the country.
