31" tires on a TJ: do I need a lift?

Just get stock size tires and everything works how it is supposed to. Why bother messing around with a tire that's hardly any bigger?

Thanks all for the feedback! Ended up sticking with the the stock lift. Will spend some more time reading and seeing if I can add a 1" body lift myself.

It’s not too hard. And you have options ranging from 0.5“ to 3” or so, but I don’t think anyone on here would recommend going beyond about 1.25” inches.

There are also some threads on here about the HR springs that will give you only just over a 1 inch suspension lift.

Yeah I bought the Zone 1.25" kit. just need to find a garage to do the install, and maybe a motor mount.
