Luck favors the prepared! In all seriousness, you have to be ready at a moments notice. Good parts don't last more than a day or two after it's in the yard. I get the notifications and am still often late to the party.
So now you have two 32rh?

4.0L 32RH - J3214094 - Plate, Drive Plate Backing (Team Grand Wagoneer has a reproduction version availble for $7.50)Can somebody please tell me what the smaller ring with the bolts is for? I purchased this flexplate from eBay but it didn't arrive with the smaller ring. Is this required? What purpose does it serve? In my mind, I'm thinking it might be a shim of some sort....
I've contacted the seller but haven't heard back yet...

Don't personally know what it does, but I'd probably try to find one. Blaine has done enough swaps that I imagine he will know if it's important or not.
That is a really odd name for something that does exactly zero adapting of anything to anything.

Here's the same extended rear seal I installed into my 32RH. It's needs a BFH to pound it into the rear of the 32RH, I protected it with a piece of scrap aluminum while seating it.

FWIW--I had a hard time finding this seal (2904400). Its listed as out of stock or discontinued almost everywhere. I ended up finding one from DesertRat.com and placed an order. I had no updates other than "order received". My package arrived yesterday with an address direct from Teraflex. So if anyone is looking for the extended seal, I'd start by calling Teraflex first because even they didnt have it listed as available online.

How much was it?
Wow that's great to hear. I have checked Tera's several times over the past year or two for it and couldn't even find it listed any more.FWIW--I had a hard time finding this seal (2904400). 4.0L/32RH:
Not a shim, stiffener to slow down how fast the center cracks out of the flexplate.
