Just got the ole TJ back from the mechanic for a full reseal of the engine and transmission due to the inevitable RMS leak. (Would have done it all myself but the complex I live at would rather fine me for working on it but not bat an eye at it pissing fluids everywhere.)

The tech showed me that my transmission cooler lines are leaking at the connections to the radiator. The PO installed an aluminum radiator but I do not know the brand, kinda looks like the AlloyWorks, but it could also be another brand that uses a black rad cap compared to the OEM or a silver cap.

My question is, How exactly do they attach to the radiator? Is it "Jesus" clip design or a hose clamp? My GoogleFu keeps giving both results. If it is a hose clamp deal, I am thinking I can just disconnect the lines and remove the threaded adapter, put some pipe tape on there and tighten it back down to prevent future leaks.

Seems like the PO or a shop they took it to did the same thing to the threaded petcock since it is also starting to seep a bit when hot, but I cannot for the life of me get the petcock to securely tighten, seems the threads are hosed.

If I remember after work, Ill slide underneath and snap some pics and upload them here, for now all you get is a screengrab of the WO recommendations. Im not too worried about the pinion seal since it will get replaced once I re-gear, and the Tcase is just an annoying seep at the speedo gear which will also get replaced when I go to re-gear.

Other than that, hilariously enough, my transmission seems to be running 10x better and actually wants to shift when I romp on the skinny pedal.

The return side is just a hose clamp on a barb fitting. The pressure side is a threaded fitting. At least on my 97's.

Thanks! Ill take a look at lunch, I wonder if the person who installed it used worm clamps....
