I see many transmission pans in the $50 price range, for example this pan having a drain plug for the earlier A999 transmission: https://www.quadratec.com/products/52118_1000_07.htm

But for some reason the similar TJ 32RH pan is $150+ everywhere I look. What gives - is the pan made of gold?! Anyone know of a lower cost alternative? Otherwise I will use my current pan and install a drain plug.

Be sure to thoroughly research pans claiming to have a drain plug before buying one. I was looking for one for both my 32RH and 42RLE and several pans claimed drain plugs but their reviews on Amazon.com complained the pans they received didn't have them. To this day none of my pans ever had drain plugs though temperature probe bungs were welded into them.
