So I needed to drop my exhaust to get to my oil pan. I separated the exhaust at the flanges just above the Cats and upon re-installing it sounds horrible. What did I miss? Are they miss-aligned? Are there seals/doughnuts that I did not see? Any thoughts?

No gaskets or donuts, the 2 pipes bolt straight to the head, metal to metal.
My guess is one pipe may not be seated against the flange properly.
I would loosen the flange bolts, reseat the pipes then re tighten exhaust flange bolts.
Be sure you are using shoulder flange bolts, they have a little better holding force.

That is interesting. I didn't realize that when they went to duel precats they went away from the donuts.

On the 97 I know the tail pipe to exhaust manifold are a pain to get tight. I fought mine for a week to get it tight enough to not slip.

My 05 Sport has no gaskets or donuts, neither does my 97 2.5.

That exhaust pipe can get loose, rechecking the manifold to pipe bolts is a good idea esp if you hear a "New noise" from somewhere.
