I have a Haynes repair manual. My search here gives me a different set of specs. The manual is way way different. 110 ft lbs? Some here have snapped bolts at 80 ft/lbs. Is this a typo where they mean in/lbs?

That is the cylinder head bolts..

the cylinder head cover(valve cover) torque spec is 85 in lb

I just installed a new valve cover gasket today. The pics are from the FSM I used the 2006 copy.

The sticky in the resources section states the following;

Cylinder head cover bolts
13 N-m (115 in. lbs.)
I am going to re-torque mine later today. I notices a little oil weeping from between the gasket and the top of the cylinder head.

Actually, I'm still a bit confused on the valve cover torque on a '99, 4.0... Is it 85 inch/pounds or 115 inch/pounds? I think I've seen both measurements in multiple places now. Does this spec vary from year-to-year on the TJs? Or, is this the difference between 4 and 6 cylinders? I have plans to change my valve cover gasket soon and am trying to figure this out before I start. Thanks!

Would be nice to know for sure, but point taken. And, nope, a $400 torque wrench is definitely not in my tool box. :-/ Thanks for the response!
