4.56 gears making noise

2004 X with Dana 30&35, fresh NV3550 and fresh transfer case. In December 2020 I had my crappy 3.07 gears swapped out for Motive 4.56 gears and TrueTrac locker in rear. In late February I had to drive back and forth to work in snow (4HI at about 40mph). The following week I got a front differential whining that starts about 25mph and get worse the faster I go. It only makes the noise on acceleration and goes away when I push the clutch in or let off the accelerator. I’m planning on taking it back by the shop today but would like some information going in.

Did you follow the break in procedure with your new gears and change the fluid after 500 miles?

Yes, didn’t get over 50mph and let the shop that did the regear change to fluids.

I would definitely take it back to the guys who installed them then. I also assume you haven't done any heavy towing.

Yeah, zero towing and only wheeling was when it snowed I used it to just get around. The snow came after the gears had about 2500 miles on them.
