4.88 vs 5.13 for 4.0 5-speed

I had an 06, so 6 speed. Mine came with 4.56 on 35's. I don't think it's worth it to upgrade the gears. If you do, 4.88 isn't going to be much different than 4.56. I eventually went with 5.13 because I broke my ring gear. 5.13 was definitely better, but I wouldn't do it unless you break something. I did feel that 5.13 was perfect for 35's. Mine wasn't a DD though.

It would be more of a difference with an auto trans.
 
4.88= 3000rpm @ 70 mph?

Now that I think about it, more like 75. And it it was hovering near 3k. Probably closer to 2900.

I'm obviously not a numbers guy.🤣

My point stands though. While I'm happy with 4.88, if I currently had 4.56, I'd probably just make the jump to 5.13s.
