I swear I've seen the fix for this before, but while googling all I've been able to find is if it won't shift out of park or into first and doing the chop sticks fix.

Occasionally when I park I have to give the shifter a little love tap(not like a drunken trailer park love tap more of a 'you could've had a V8') so I can get the keys out. I'm pretty sure I saw a thread talking about adjusting a cable to proper tension but would like to confirm before I go tearing everything apart
