OK so I think I lost overdrive ... Without lockout being used it will go from low to third fine but overdrive wont pull and when giving gas it wants to go back to second .. when using lockout 1st 2nd and 3rd shift fine both ways ... guessing it's time for an overhaul as I have searched here and found the trans to be hard to source and expensive used compared to overhaul ... please advise ... shop quoted 1800 to rebuild

1800 to rebuild it is a grand less than i spent.

But i generally turn OD off unless running more than 70 on the highway, OD sucks on that transmission, especially with larger than stock tires, geared too low.

Re-gearing w/E-lockers and axles in a couple weeks, OD may be useful then.

$1800 to rebuild is definitely the lowest I've seen in 15 years. Whether or not you need it is another story.

I drove to work with odd off .. third seems to be unhappy also ... BTW she got almost 430k miles.. and I was wrong ... rebuild is now 2400 18 month or 18k miles
