While I'm under the vehicle the next couple of weeks, I thought I'd change out the filter and fluid on the tranny and while Im at it, change the pan to one with a drain plug.

Also was contemplating getting a deep dish, but not sure how it would impact the skid...

Anybody have any preference on what they have used?

There's a transmission filter above the pan, just draining the fluid without removing the pan to replace that filter would be a bad idea.

For that reason, there's no reason to pay more to get a pan with a drain plug in it.

wanted to run an temp gauge for the tranny and install a temp sensor in the drain plug hole.

Other than that; a drain plug just makes life easier draining the tranny.....

G-Whiz, sorry to bring back an old post but did you ever find a good pan with a drain plug?
Jerry, Where did you install your sensor if not in the tranny pan?
