Alright guys. Getting ready to start a new project. A rhd 5.9 swap. I have a few things I can’t wrap my head around as of yet..
Backstory.
I have a full running working (daily driver) donor vehicle 1999 Durango slt. With a 5.9
Planning on putting the entire drivetrain minus tcase into my wife 2004 rhd Tj auto
I also have a 1999 donor Tj with a 4.0 man trans
Question is
What harness should I be using primarily the Durango harness and ecu and bringing in the 04 Tj harness for the body control stuff
Use the 99 Tj harness and dodge ecu and splice in the pieces from the dodge harness?
Or just use the 04 Tj harness and splice in the dodge connectors?
Second question. If I’m using the dodge ecu how do I get it to communicate to the Tj body control stuff. Or could someone explain that part of any swap to me. Getting/keeping the “bcm” working getting power ect. That’s the only real thing I can’t wrap my head around.. is the body control portion of a swap
