This is my local surplus store. They have great deals on stuff. I bought one these last month. And they are very heavy weight rubber. But compact way to keep a 5gal water container in your Jeep. You can also hang it for a gravity fed water device. They are brand new. And very rugged. Worth a whole lot more that fifteen bucks. Great for camping. Or to stuff under the seat (they are very compact empty) for an emergency water container.

You can find them for $12 each and free shipping if you shop carefully, but $15 isn't bad. They also work well as solar showers, in a pinch.

I was gonna mention the solar shower thing. I was very impressed with the quality. They are well worth the price. And very well made. They also sell much larger versions. That you could supply a whole group with water.

I recall more than one time having a radiator leak. And limping home with extra water to refill the radiator. But having nothing to hold the water in. I was forced to use water bottles. The 5 gal version is going in my security trunk. Takes up way less room than a 5 gal water can.

I picked up a pair of these recently. They really are nice bags.

Just be aware that without a lot of work, what you see is what you get; you're stuck with the nozzles that come with the bags...or in the case of the big bladders, the hose adapters. The threading / connections are a DIN system that does not connect to anything you can find on a hardware store aisle; I have a few adapters for mine, but they were made in a machine shop, and that is the only secure way to change the output mechanism of the bag.

Tip: fill them 80% full and they move/store/pour much easier.

Second tip: give them a few good rinses and they'll impart less flavor to the water. I have well water, so I took mine to work (where we have chlorinated city water) and filled them up; after standing for three or four days, I dumped that water and repeated the process. After a week or two it didn't taste like I was drinking from a pool float.

You should have told me where you heard about those; I would have bought some for myself. ;)
