97 cherokee 4.0 into a 98 wrangler

so about a year ago now i swapped a 97 cherokee motor into my 98 wrangler. (had no time for a rebuild or wait for a pro to do a rebuild due to time constraints) so we did the swap. 2 issues came to light. one being the mounting for the power steering pump wasn't right so we fabbed a bracket and fixed the problem. second being the i believe the idler pulley. it sits to far from the block itself causing the belt to hang off the back. pics attached. so its coming into winter and i almost always drive my jeep in the winter (Illinois winters suck) so im trying to find a fix for this. any help is appreciated.
