97 Jeep TJ 4.0 will crank but not stay started

There is a shitton of smoke pouring out of the barrel of that gun. Now we're all going to want to know why you needed to replace the PCM in the first place, and where you got the replacement from.

The dash gauges were not working and diagnosed it to the PCM. Come to find out, had a leaky capacitor on the PCM. Not sure where it came from, I requested that info from my son.

Thanks for your reply

Hi all, I just want to update this thread as my issue has finally been resolved. I found out where the PCM was purchased, (Flagship One) and it was in fact programmed for SKIM. I had an RMA issued and the seller re-programmed the PCM without SKIM. I want to thank all who contributed to this thread with their suggestions/theories, especially Mr. Bransford and Mark with Wranglerfix.

This 26 year old Wrangler TJ is finally up and running!

Thanks again, BK.
