97 TJ stalls when giving it gas

I have a 1997 jeep wrangler tj. Just recently it has been stalling on me. No sensor lights. Plenty of fluids. When i try to restart it and give it some gas it stalls again. Any help would be appreciated

Keep driving it. A check engine light will come on and that will be telling.

That's the first thing I would do at least, as a check engine light is way better than just throwing money at things and guessing

Start with the simple stuff.. air filter, check your fuel lines for leaks, gas cap, and whatever the last thing you did to it recently maybe you put it back together wrong or bumped something

I’m not a 4.0 wizard, but is it stalling suddenly or more of a couple misses and then a stall? The first would lead me to believe ignition system, plugs, coils, maybe grounding out at the boot, etc. Or if it’s slower I would check fuel, maybe injectors or pump or something. Not much help I know, but it’s what I leaned when working with older vw engines.
