99 Wrangler rocker arms

Hi everyone, My 99 wrangler 4.0 has had the check engine light on. I code read it was bad rocker arms.
My engine doesn’t seem to be ticking or sounding bad. I did the stethoscope trick with. Screw driver and I didn’t hear anything concerning.
Could there be something else that could mimic that problem? Bad CPS?, bad catalytic converter?
I really just don’t wanna replace my rocker arms because it doesn’t look fun. Any info would help. Thank you,

I don't know how the hell a TJ PCM would detect something wrong with rocker arms.

I know how my ears would. Not that every 4.0 doesn't sound like a diesel tractor.
