@SkylinesSuck lent me his smoke machine and I finally found the emissions leaks that have been giving me P0456, P0455, and P1494 codes. Thankfully, the problem was a simple one. Two hoses that attach to the plastic lines on the leak detection pump were connected but extremely loose. It's a little victory. A couple small hose clamps and no more leaks! 🙌

I just got back from wheeling, so pardon the dirt! :)

Removed my 32" wheeling tires and installed the 31x10 50 road tires. Took the Jeep out for a drive and had a smile on my face the entire time. As I've said repeatedly, this thing is a pure joy to drive. I've also decided what the future for this TJ is.

The Diehard AGM I installed 2 year's ago failed and Advance couldn't get a replacement, so they gave me a full refund. To replace it I ordered a Marine AGM from O'Reilly. It was $169, with a 20% discount code. The only downside I could see is the 12 month warranty. For the price, I'll gamble!

Hopefully you have better luck than I did. Mine only lasted 6 months

I’m using and AGM battery I got from batteries bulbs and more like 4 years ago. I also Had a 20% off coupon paid 170 and it’s still going strong so I think you’ll be good.

IIRC, your son was going to get it? If that happened, was he impressed by all your hard work?

I'm convinced he has very little idea about what he got. For him I'm sensing it's more about "coolness". This is a leap of faith on my side that he will learn. That said, you can't take it with you when you go, so it's time to reward some remarkable progress he's made. Plus, it's something we share and he enjoys learning and trying new things.
