Air tank mounting position?

Anyone see a problem with mounting a 2.5 gallon air tank under a TJ on the drivers side? It looks like it'll fit just fine with inches to spare. I'd like to hear of instances where the tank got buggered up enough to make it unsafe or unusable, if any.

For what purpose?
Locker actuation and tire inflation. No air tools. It's overkill for my build, but I got curious. The most inflation / deflation cycles I've ever had in one day was four. That was once, and a corner case. My Viair 88P works just fine for my 31's and the wife's metric 33's. As expected, it gets hot. Hasn't died yet though.

That's where I have mine, and been there for years with no problem.
