A. Traction Boards.Got one of these doohickeys on the front of my jeep, can’t really put a winch there anymore. Thinking about alternative recovery gear, do they make a hand winch strong enough to pull a jeep? Or should I consider a high lift jack to pull me 4ft at a time? Orrr?A
To make him go faster. Obviously.Unless there's a 7876 under the hood, why did you mount an intercooler on your bumper?
Why has no one mention the Elephant in the room?

I'm pretty sure you're solving the wrong problems.
Part of me thinks that you're not going to bring that Jeep anywhere close to where you're going to get stuck.Got one of these doohickeys on the front of my jeep, can’t really put a winch there anymore. That doesn’t really make the intercooler go away lolI bought a 97 last year. First thing I did was buy a Warn 9k winch and a mounting plate.
I ignored all the steering, lift, gearing, suspension issues. Getting out is the most important thing. And sure, wheeling with friends is fine...but that doesn't mean they can get you unstuck.
Get a grinder and a cutting wheel...cut off the hoop...spray any bare metal with paint...better yet weld a patch.
Get a winch plate...get a winch.
Or buy a new bumper...
