Driveshaft and upper control arm. I'd seen several motor swaps from folks asking if they could install the mid arm. The dual exhaust and poor placement of the exhaust manifold exit negates that fully since the exhaust ran right through the spot between engine and frame that the arm and mount needed to live in. They make big sad faces but they don't change the exhaust and manifolds so they are really just a tiny bit sad.

How much extra heat will the transmission need to reject, based on the proximity of the crossover pipe? I guess a better question. Has heat been an issue?

There has not been any heat related issues, trans, steering, floorboard, engine, etc. that I am aware of. The only heat problem that I know of is some melted Atlas shifter cables.
