Hello
My name is John. I am not new to Jeeps and have a lot of general car, truck and boat experience. Last Jeep was a 98 GC Limited. I have had a few Cherokees and CJ's in the past. Land Rovers, Land Cruisers, Suburbans, a Travelall (still have the '68 2wd) and even a Laforza. Also an avid boater cruising Puget Sound in our President 37.
I just bought a 2006 LJ, 6 speed. 238K miles and running well. Getting a check engine P0340 code. I already changed the gas cap since it was crusty and the Cam sensor. I know about the OPDA situation, but have not pulled it out yet. I have only had it a couple days. But, at this point and with this kind of mileage I assume the issue would have popped up by now. So, will be investigating. The jeep runs and drives great. It was clearly well taken care of and mainly street driven. It has been in WA state the whole time and the frame is smooth inside, no rust that I can find.
