I have an 04 Rubicon 5 speed and I just installed a 2.5 inch suspension lift, 1.25 inch body lift and a 1 inch MM lift. I have read where people have issues with gears 2,4 and reverse but I am having the opposite issue. I'm hitting in 1, 3 and 5. When I got the jeep it had stock suspension but a 2 inch body lift. I started thinking if the previous owner changed the shifter out to prevent it from hitting 2, 4 and reverse. Does this shifter look stock or would a short throw shifter fix this if it's not? I would eventually like to replace the console where I ground down the plastic.

Did the PO shift the console back?

I don't think so, I removed the two mounting bolts for the front half of the console to try and slide it forward but it wouldn't move much before it hit the lower dash panel. But I will look more into that, thanks!

Posting in case someone else has this issue.i pulled the shifter and found this shifter relocater installed which moved the shifter forward. Removed it and now all works well. Just waiting on a replacement forward console to arrive so I can replace the one I messed up.
