That thread is worth reading, but to cut to the chase, the ONLY ball joint I would ever personally recommend is the Spicer 706944X ball joints.

Exactly, stick with that Spicer p/n Chris gave above. It's a direct fit but better/stronger upgrade to the OE Spicer ball joints the factory installed. That threaded brass insert included in the kit is for old YJs, it's not used on our TJs.
