Any rule of thumb for white letter direction on tires?

obviously truly up to the owner, but when i had my gloss black D-windows on and STT PRO white letters out, it seemed right. I'm not going over rocks, so the worry of tearing up the white letters isn't an issue. Also be nice not to have to clean them all the time. I'm slightly old school, but aren't we all.
When I switched to Quadratec's Rubicon wheels in Gunmetal Gray, it seems white letters out draws the eyes not on the jeep, but the wheels. I'm getting two new STT Pros mounted tomorrow to replace my separated belt issue and cupped tire and may swap to white letters in this go round.
Also seems that the color of jeeps/hardtops play a factor too. Couldn't find many Moss Green's with gunmetal except 2nd to last with top off. Most are either chrome or black or are a different color jeep all together. I'll change my username to "indecisiveTJ" soon.

@Scottfree98, yep, I checked your profile. You are close to driving in the late 80's when it was popular to put the white out. The 80s are over (but don't throw out 80's music). 😉

You are going crazy, but I'd say no to the blacked out D window wheels. The Quadratec Rubicon Express in Gunmental are better. Yours actually looks good with the white letters out, but I think better with them in, plus if you get them dirty or scrape them on the rocks they won't look too good anymore. Stop the OCD. I'm here to help.

I’ll see that post and raise you a Bryan Adams Reckless album.

Why in the world are these boys not looking at the forum Handbook, the members’ friend.

It covers raised white letters, both block letters and outlined letters, with seperate protocols for standard and metric sizes.

Don’t forget, not doing the spare the same is a class 3 violation.
